The candy drawing was not as hard as what I expected it to be. Puff Paff gave us mints, butterscotch pieces, and jolly ranchers. We had to place them out and draw them how they were. I wanted to make mine look so what decent, so I laid out a rapper and put all of the pieces on top. I wish Puff Paff didn't lose my drawing so I could show you :p I probably did like fifty rough drafts on this thing. It was hard getting the shapes of the butterscotch pieces and the jolly ranchers. The butterscotch was like a oval but you couldn't make it too ovally haha and the jolly ranchers were like a rectangle. The thing was though is that you could not make it look to boxy because they actually have a curve in it. The mints were the easiest to draw because it was just a simple circle. Once you got your outline, you had to color it. It was the coloring you do when your bored or as a little kid. You actually had to mix colors together and make some parts lighter than others. You had to show the little details about everything and make everything precised. The jolly rancher was the difficult one to color. You had to mix like a red and orange and just keep mixing colors. The other pieces had one color or just regular colors in it or on it. Plus that is the piece of candy that has more detail on it. The butterscotch had like little lines on the candy that you had to draw but they were so small that i barely even drew them on the piece.
I learned how to color a piece of art using the color wheel. The color wheel helps you determine what color to mix with what to make a certain color. I also learned how to draw little details from just looking at the object and making it look precised. It was hard doing that because certain details were super super tiny and you could barely see it. I also like shaded it but used colored pencils instead. It was actually kind of fun and it helped me with my drawing skills. Even though i am still not the best artist. LOL :D
